This Sunday, we continue our topical series on the scripture: Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.” This “Hope Deferred” series helps us with Biblical guidance when our hopes, dreams, plans, become deferred, that is delayed for a period of time, or even forever. This week, we will talk about “Hope Deferred in Career and Plans.” Our text this week is Romans 12:11 and Hebrews 6:12. In these passages, they talk about diligence, hard work and faithfulness when things go wrong; when things go sideways and when your plans, expectations get changed. People (we) can often have hope deferred in our lives with our plans and career plans as these often change when we don’t expect or want them to. In this message we will give you 3 practical helps when there is hope deferred in life’s plans.
Our scripture reading this Sunday is part of the text: Hebrews 6:9-12. This passage expounds the lesson of faithfulness when plans go wrong and how we should react. All so that we can learn to handle those bumps in life’s road and be faithful. More on all this Sunday morning at 9:30 am.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Weaver
