The Ignorance for the Suffering Servant September 12, 2025 Stephen Weaver Uncategorized 0 Comments This Sunday, we will have a Communion service completely centered around the cross of Jesus and celebrating the Lord’s supper. We will continue our communion service series working through the Suffering Servant from Isaiah 52 and 53. For our sermon this Sunday we’ll look at chapter 53 verses 1-3. In this passage God, who is speaking through the prophet Isaiah, gives us a description of the Suffering Servant. His “sorrows” explained there is described as the struggles He endured in His humanness when He took on our flesh. In all of it I believe it can be described as severe loneliness as the descriptions show how He gave His life, and no one cared. God understands our struggles, He understands you! Jesus understands human loneliness. He understands our need to connect with other humans. He experienced it. Adam was created with the animals, [our scripture reading for Sunday – Genesis 2:15-25] but needed human interaction, so God made Eve (a helpmeet) for Him. So Sunday, I want to us to see what God says here in the text about His Son, the suffering Servant. More on all this, and how to understand and deal with loneliness. See you Sunday, Pastor Weaver
