This Sunday, we continue our series in the gospel of Matthew, now studying chapter 4 verses 18-22.  In this passage we see Jesus calling to himself disciples, fishers of men.  Here Jesus calls to himself several men from their regular job (fishing) to do a job for Him!  His call on their lives!  Doesn’t our Lord, the King of kings have authority over us?  Does He not have a call on your life as a believer in Him?  Jesus also calls us to become fishers of people – I believe that is what this passage is teaching.  For us to have a heart for people on their way to a Christless eternity.  Christ is our example, and His ministry can teach us about our opportunities to reach others.  We will look at some ingredients that show us His heart for lost souls.  Our scripture reading is 2 Corinthians 4:1-7.  In this passage we see Paul the apostle speak of the glorious gospel which the god of this world is actively trying to hinder.  Yet we are given this privilege to reach people in this world and lead them to Christ.  More on all this evangelism topic this Sunday morning…
