Reactions to a Resurrection

This Sunday in our series (verse-by-verse study) in the gospel of John; we are finishing chapter 11, looking at verses 45-57; where we have looked at this major miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead. We have seen what is most important in this miracle; that Jesus (God) has power over life and death. And left it with this question, “will people believe”? Now in this last part of chapter 11 we have several responses to this major miracle. People who believe; people who don’t believe and tattletale. And then those (Pharisees & Sadducees) who respond with violence (future) or at least plan it. They become so incensed and angry that they become deranged with the possibility of losing their power in Israel with the people, and even Rome. It’s all a “reaction to a resurrection”! Jesus is God, He is the Messiah. He died for the sins of the world, and to save you! What’s your response? Do you believe? More on this as we look at the responses to Lazarus this Sunday morning.
