This Sunday we continue our series in the book of 1st Samuel looking at chapter 2 verses 11-21. In this passage we look at a contrast the narrator gives us. Here we see the contrast between young Samuel, simply serving, and the sons of Eli Hophni & Phinehas, seriously sinning. One is quietly, diligently serving the Lord in/around the tabernacle area; the others are wickedly abusing people, stealing, and desecrating the sacrificial system; as they bully people who are trying to worship the Lord. This Sunday, we will look at 3 facts about these 2 choices put before us; in order for us to understand that we too have choices that we make every day. Some choices that don’t mean a lot, but then there are choices that can and will affect our lives for a long time.
