I Am Really Hungry!

This Sunday, our series on the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount continues with the fourth beatitude from chapter 5, verse 6.  This time Jesus says the blessed, approved of God person is the one who hungers and thirsts after righteousness.  Jesus now speaks of our spiritual to desire to do, and to be right.  While being poor in spirit, mourning, and meekness is all necessary in our relationship with God (the previous beatitudes); we are then able to desire to do right, just like we crave and desire physical food.  So what about you?  Do you crave righteousness?  Do you hunger and thirst after God and His word? If, while doing that, are you satisfied?  How can we hunger and be satisfied?  What does it mean to hunger and thirst after righteousness?  We’ll answer these questions and much more this Sunday morning.

See you Sunday,

Pastor Weaver
