This Sunday, we continue our series on the Beatitudes with the eighth beatitude from chapter 5, verses 10-12, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake.”  How is this beatitude to be understood by us here in America?  Although we know people in our country are facing injustice and wrongful prosecution by people in our government, but how else do we face persecution?  The fact is we are blessed when we are made fun of, lied about, misunderstood and when we STAND for what’s right.  Jesus promise here is so precious to so many; we’ll talk about it, and much more this Sunday morning.
