This Sunday we are continuing our series in the first epistle of John looking again at chapter 4, verses 7-21 for a third time.  In this message we’ll deal with the results of love.  This is the third part of this text which talks about love. Here in these verses, John wants to be sure believers understand this important topic of love.  And, as we said the last 2 times we need to try and understand God’s great love to us.  John points out that Jesus showed, demonstrated, and proved love by paying the penalty of our sin on the cross.  Also, John continues here in the text, showing how that love from God flows through us and is reflected to others, and that it truly shows that we love God because we love His creation (ALL people).  This Sunday we will continue to examine this passage and give 3 results of love that are in this text: 1. We’re given the Holy Spirit, and 2. We have confidence in the day of judgment, and 3. We have courage in the face of fear.  More explanation of all this Sunday morning.
