The Problem of Unresolved Anger

This Sunday, as we continue our series in the book of Jonah; we come to chapter 4 and verse 5. We’ve been talking about anger, Jonah’s anger from the text, and we now come to where Jonah just walks away from God’s question (v.4) “do you do well to be angry?”.  And then Jonah begins to do some actions based on the anger he has; or can I call it, unresolved anger!  What a very dangerous place to be.  Unresolved anger always turns to bitterness without the person harboring it even knows it!  And it comes out in actions that they don’t even realize that they are doing.  In this message we’ll talk about three things Jonah does in verse 5 that show he is not dealing with his anger in a good Biblical way.  How about you?  Can you go back to anything in your past and not have feelings of anger, resentment?  Have you dealt with the problems, sin problems; or when you were sinned against in your past?
