The Noise of Distractions, Luke 10: 38-42

This Sunday we continue a series on an important topic about our lives.  We started a discussion last week in a message about “noise” in our lives, and do we have a peace that characterizes our lives.  This Sunday, I want to talk to you about the “noise of distractions.”  Do you have, or do you make distractions [noise] in your life?  Now we all have, of course, many distractions in our lives; I’m not talking about those as much as I’m talking about the distractions we make, we cause, we purposefully inject in our lives.  In our text (Luke 10:38-42), we find a story of 2 sisters that have an argument that Jesus gets pulled into, and the outcome is really not what we expect; however, the passage does help us to understand and what to focus on in our lives.  Remember Jesus wants to give us peace, not noise.  That’s what we want to talk about in this message.  Do you have a lot of distractions of your own makings?  Thus creating “noise” in your life that could keep you from God’s peace?
