This Sunday we continue our series in the book of 1 Samuel.  This week we are studying chapter 27 and chapter 29.  Here we have David again in sort of a panic mode (due to discouragement), or is it really that?  Saul, of course still hasn’t really changed and is still after David to kill him.  And this has really got David down to where he makes some questionable moves.  David decides that God is not going to protect him anymore and goes [again] to the enemy, Achish, king of Gath.  This time Achish welcomes him in, even giving David the land of Ziklag.  My hope is that this study will help you greatly in understanding scripture and interpreting it.  Asking the right questions as to what is in the text for you and how you apply it to your own life. 

Our scripture reading is 1 Corinthians 8:1-13 where the apostle Paul speaks of Christian liberties and eating meat offered to idols if your conscience doesn’t bother you about that.  Making decisions in life can be fairly simple as to right and wrong, but that’s not always the case.  Sometimes what could be wrong for one may not be for the other.  So, in the case of our text, is David right or wrong?
