This Sunday we continue our series in the book of 1^st Samuel looking at the first chapter.  In this passage we look at a true Biblical hero, and it’s not who you would expect.  In these verses we find a woman (Hannah) truly in the middle of life’s struggles, and showing us, teaching us, how to handle life’s disappointments.  While her husband Elkanah, does not understand her struggles, tries to help her.  And Eli the prophet, while eventually calls this one right; originally misreads and bumbles through helping her while she pours her heart out to God.  This Sunday we will look at Hannah’s terrible problems, remarkable faith, astounding vow, and the completion of that vow.  She really delivers to us the truth today of how we can, not only make it through life’s trials, but also what that trial will bring – ultimate glory to the Lord that impacts others.
