This Sunday, as we continue our series on the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew’s gospel, we will be studying chapter 5, verses 17-20.  In this passage Jesus, in His teaching, circles around by making sure, after all He has said, that they are not misunderstanding His teaching about the law.  In context, His focus is the law, but in application we would include all of God’s word.  Jesus’ teaching about His word, and our duty to follow every part of it.  When Jesus says, all the law and O.T. will be fulfilled, every jot and tittle, does that not show us that everything about God and His word is true and can be trusted?  What a challenge and encouragement to us!  More on this Sunday morning…
