This Sunday we continue our series in the first epistle of John; in chapter 2 looking at verse 15b & 16.  Here in these verses, John says if we love the world, (the imperative in 15a we talked about last week) the love of the Father is not in us.  In other words, it is impossible to love God and love the world at the same time.  So, what John does in verse 16 is to explain why it is impossible to love God and the world’s system at the same time.  This Sunday, I want us to look at 3 areas of serious temptation that John talks about here and look at ways to combat and overcome these areas of temptations.  Remembering that we are in the world, but not of the world.  More on all this Sunday morning…
