This Sunday we continue our new sermon series on the first epistle of John.  Our text is chapter 1, verses 1-4.  Due to the amount of material in these 4 verses we will just be looking at the first part, the first 2 verses which show us the first 2 of 4 truths about Christ’s humanity, and His help in our Christian walk.  John begins his letter immediately speaking about Jesus (he was an eyewitness), and the fact that He became human in order to be our substitute and provide eternal life to us by His sacrifice on the cross.  Christ revealed to the disciple John, and through him to us.  Jesus is who He said He is!  He is the Christ, the Messiah (the Son of God) who took on our flesh and dwelt among us here on this earth 2,000 years ago.  And because of His grace he offers forgiveness of sin to anyone who will accept it and receive Jesus as their Savior.  Have you received Jesus?  Christian, are you living in light of all that Jesus has done for you?  More on all this Sunday morning…
