This Sunday we continue our series in the first epistle of John looking at chapter 3, verses 19-22. Here in these verses, John now speaks to a concern that he has for his readers after talking so much about evidences of being a believer. You will have, you will be doing this, this and that, he says. Last week for example, we talked about loving others with a sacrificial love. Now, has John made his readers think twice and doubt their confidence in God? And what about their conscience? (Translated heart in the KJV.) Are they violating their conscience? Here John gives 3 things he wants to remind his readers of, that will help them in guiding and keeping their conscience in check. Oh, and also, there is too much material in my notes to do this message in one week; therefore, I am dividing this message in two and doing the 2nd half next week. Don’t ask me where I’m dividing this message – we’ll all find out on Sunday! More on all this Sunday morning.
