This Sunday, we continue our series on the Beatitudes with the seventh beatitude from chapter 5, verse 9, “Blessed are the peacemakers.”  This beatitude is one not to take lightly because we see that Jesus doesn’t say “blessed are the peaceful” but “blessed are the peacemakers!”  How do we help make peace in a crazy, violent, unpeaceful society and world in which we live?  Because there will be no peace in this world until the prince of peace comes and sets up His earthly millennial kingdom.  In the meantime, till He comes, we are to be endeavoring to make peace anywhere we can with God’s help.  This Sunday I want to share some facts about being a peacemaker, and to help you understand that it is indeed an active thing that we do in our lives.  And then, in the text, we see God has a special title of blessing that He bestows upon us (v. 9b).  I’ll share what that is and much more Sunday morning.
