This Sunday we continue our series on “noise” in our lives, and do we have a peace that should characterize the Christian life. This Sunday, I want to talk to you about the “noise of temptation” again; this time from 2 Corinthians 7:8-11. We all struggle with temptation in our lives. What we need to know and do to get victory over temptation is very important. Erwin Lutzer, in his book, “Getting to No” shares 3 conditions to victory that are helpful as temptations are so difficult in your life. We are looking at the next 2 conditions of victory this Sunday; as we looked at the first one last Sunday. This week then, we consider the second and third ones: about responsibility, and also believing that deliverance is possible. Do we take responsibility for our actions and admit when we have done wrong and have sinned? Do we believe that God wants to give us victory? Remember Jesus wants to give you peace, not noise. In this message, I want to show you from God’s word that taking responsibility and believing that you can have the victory in your life will help you to say “NO” to temptation!
