Here we look at chapter 1, verses 11-12. In this passage we come to the point and time where Jonah is at a crossroads in his life. But does he even see it as a crossroads? Doesn’t he think his only option is for them to toss him overboard verse 12 (suicide! remember, he knows nothing of his future great fish transport)? Does he even consider God? The truth is he does have another option! He can repent and ask God for forgiveness, and then tell the sailors to turn the ship around and drop him off at the closest port to Ninevah!
