This Sunday, we continue our topical series on the scripture: Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.” This “Hope Deferred” series helps us with Biblical guidance when our hopes, dreams, plans, become deferred, that is delayed for a period of time, or even forever. This week, we will talk about “Hope Deferred in New Converts.” Our text for this week is 2 Corinthians 5:10-17. In this passage we are given some basic facts about our salvation that unfortunately some believers miss, or they don’t really learn after their saved. Thus, hope deferred can happen in the very walk which ought to be lived in victory, not under a persons’ circumstances! In this message I will give 5 motivations (from the text) you should have in your spiritual walk which will help when there can be hope deferred in your spiritual life.
Our scripture reading this Sunday is from Joshua 1:5-9. This passage talks about the wonderful things God promised Joshua if he heeded, read, and studied the Word (Book of the Law). Promises that we can have that will fill our life and have a life pleasing to our God.
